HELP US MAINTAIN OUR GLOBAL MAP OF ENVIRONMENTAL SENSOR NETWORKS UP TO DATE.

Access Map

Sensaris can now help cities with dynamic mapping of noise and air quality.Senspods and wireless technologies bring sensors, maps, multimedia, web 2.0 etc…together for innovative citizen services.

Local authorities implementing sensor based services improve daily life quality and increase property value through using new environmental guidance.

With partners, we are validating an entire platform for getting people engaged and contributing to environmental activism and urban planning at the neighborhood level.

Common characteristics

Mobility: their small size and weight (Senspods weigh less than 200g) and ergonomic but sturdy casings make Senspods easily transported and used anywhere in nearly any conditions; optional integrated GPS makes the system even more mobile-friendly.

Easily recharged: Senspods can be recharged using alternative sources (solar cell, handcrank, bike dynamo…)

Easy to use and understand: Sensors communicate via Bluetooth or WiFi. Data can be viewed using any web browser on mobile or PC.

Noise

Minimum is 30 dB (being in a quiet room by yourself) to maximum of 140 dB.We have 4 stages of amplification and switch automatically to cover the full spectrum. We use an electret microphone.
Caiibration is done compared to a handheld decibel meter.

T° and Relative humidity

Temperature: Measures temperature inside City Senspod case, so typically 5 or 6°C higher than actual outside temperature
Humidity: 0 to 100 % (directly in %)

CO

Technology used is Non Dispersive Infrared Red. Output is directly in ppm.

These sensors have been characterized in terms of accuracy, reproducibility. We can provide reference papers.

Typical value in city is 380 to 400 ppm.
In a room values range from 600 to 2000 ppm depending on the number of people, ventilation etc.
